Antimicrobial Activity of Different Vegetative Parts of Tulipa sintenisii (Mus Lalesi) and Fritillaria imperialis (Aglayan Gelin)

Abstract


The proposed study introduces each of root, stalk, leaf and flowers of Tulipa sintenisii (Mus lalesi) and Fritillaria imperialis (Aglayan gelin) is extracted with five different organic solvents such as chlorophorm, hexane, acetone, ethanol and methanol. Antimicrobial activities of these extracts were tested against several test microorganisms. Consequently, extracts of different parts of Tulipa sintenisii (Mus lalesi) exhibited antimicrobial activity against Enterobacter aerogenes ATCC 13048 at different rates. Different extracts obtained from Fritillaria imperialis (Aglayan gelin) also exhibited antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans ATCC 10231. In conclusion, it was determined that Tulipa sintenisii has got antibacterial activity and Fritillaria imperialis also has got antifungal activity.
