Abstract

This study examines the impact of power supply on the performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. Anchoring on the Production Function Theory (PFT), data from the national statistical bulletin spanning 1999 to 2018 was used to measured the long-run and short-run relationships using the ARDL and VAR analysis. Findings indicate that electricity supply has both long and short term impact on manufacturing sector output, competiveness and capacity utilization. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
