Role of Female Teachers in Increasing Literacy Rate: A Case Study of District D.G.Khan, Pakistan.

Abstract


Education plays a vital role in improvement of human resources and also for the economic developing. In our study area of D.G.Khan district it is observed that role of female teachers are dominating in improving the literacy rate and the schools in which female teachers are engaged they constitute more enrolment i.e. female student teacher ratio is greater than the male student teacher ratio. Results of the study are helpful in developing the policy recommendations to employ more female teachers in the primary school level for the successful achievement of objectives of educational polices. Female teachers can easily understand and are helpful in resolving the problems of the students. Female teachers concentrate more in teaching activities.
