An Analysis of Capital Formation in Indian Agriculture and ITS Implications for More Inclusive Growth of Indian Economy

Abstract


The present study attempts to identify the determinants and constraints of public and private capital formation in Indian agriculture, and studies the impact of capital formation on agricultural and more inclusive growth of Indian economy. It is an analytical study. This study is based on secondary data. The data are collected from plan documents, government relevant documents. Investment in agriculture needs to be accelerated to achieve the target of “Faster, Sustainable and More Inclusive Growth” envisaged by the 12th five year plan.
