Characteristics of Owner-Managers of Cameroonian Family SMEs and Access to Bank Credit

Abstract


The objective of this paper was to highlight the effect of the characteristics of owner-Cameroonian family SMEs on access to bank credit. To achieve this, we used primary data collected from 180 family SMEs. At the end of the chi-square test and logistic regression, we obtained the following results: The level of education and type of owner-manager training have a significant and negative influence on access to bank credit family SMEs, experience and the geographical origin of the owner-manager and have a significant positive impact on access to bank credit for SMEs family in Cameroon.
