Transient Mixed Convective Heat and Mass Transfer Flow in a Vertical Channel with Travelling Thermal Wave and Heat Sources

Abstract


In this paper, we investigate the transient mixed convective heat and mass transfer flow of a viscous, electrically conducting fluid confined in a vertical channel with traveling thermal wave. The concentration on the walls is maintained constant. The non-linear coupled equations governing the flow, heat and mass transfer have been solved by employing a regular perturbation technique with the aspect ratio δ as a perturbation parameter. The effect of various governing parameters of the flow characteristics have been discussed graphically. The rate of heat and mass transfer are evaluated numerically for different variations.
