Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students’ understanding in mathematical objects. This research is an action research with 31 eleventh grade students of SMA Parulian 1 Medan as the subject of research. The instruments of this research are the diagnostic and understanding essay test. The reliability of the diagnostic test is 0.77 (high); understanding test I is 0.54 (medium); and understanding test II is 0.43 (medium).
